provided Fulfilling all expectations, the German film white tape from director Michael Haneke has won the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film at the 67th edition of the awards given by the Association Journalists Aliens in Hollywood.


With this award, Haneke makes a pass over in the run up to the Oscar after having obtained the highest awards granted by the EFA European Film Academy (Best Picture, Director and script), the Palme d'Or Cannes Film Festival and the Grand Prix FIPRESCI Critics.

WHITE RIBBON opened our territory on Friday January 15 and distributed only 39 copies has become one of the most profitable films of all planned for this weekend in terms of fundraising and admissions per copy is concerned.

The film has earned a total of € 195,424 and 29,395 spectators standing in third place ranking for copy and the No. 11 for total revenues in the top 20 of the English box office.

last film German director Michael Haneke, WHITE TAPE, met all expectations set and rose on Saturday, the gala 22th edition of the European awards, the 3 top prizes awarded by the European Film Academy EFA:

is not the first time that director Michael Haneke is awarded by the EFA. His previous film Caché (Escondido), also distributed in our territory by Golem, rose in 2005 with the Award for Best European Film.

WHITE RIBBON is the latest winner of the Palme d'Or Cannes Film Festival, FIPRESCI Grand Prix and is critical selected to represent Austria at the Oscars for best foreign language film. Golem Distribution
plans to release the film WHITE on 15 January.
