Haneke and "The White Ribbon" swept EUROPE

last film German director Michael Haneke, WHITE TAPE, met all expectations set and rose on Saturday, the gala 22th edition of the European awards, the 3 top prizes awarded by the European Film Academy EFA:

• BEST FILM

• BEST DIRECTOR

• BEST SCREENPLAY

Shot entirely in black and white, WHITE RIBBON is a masterful reflection on history, moral and psyche marked by violence in human relations, authoritarian education and the weight of religion. The film meticulously examines the origins of Nazism through the strange events that arise in a small German town before the First World War.

is not the first time that director Michael Haneke is awarded by the EFA. His previous film Caché (Escondido), also distributed in our territory by Golem, rose in 2005 with the Award for Best European Film.

WHITE RIBBON is the latest winner of the Palme d'Or Cannes Film Festival, FIPRESCI Grand Prix and is critical selected to represent Austria at the Oscars for best foreign language film. Golem Distribution
plans to release the film WHITE on 15 January.
